Please consider the following scripture:

2 Corinthians 4:7-9 (NKJ) Version

7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. 8 We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (NKJ) Version

16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

This Word came to me last night, and the Lord guided me on that which I need to write on. You, man or woman alone should never be found in a position of complaining pertaining to this “light affliction” which is for but a moment.

The outward man perishes, it is corruptible, the suffering we now endure is for but a moment and considered a: “LIGHT AFFLICTION” seen in the Light of eternity.

To each person is handed a package to carry, some have a heavier package to carry than others, how the ever, the Grace has been provided to walk in that seemingly hard, but then in the context of the scripture, “a light affliction“.

I mean after all, what is the worst thing that can happen to us? Die?

Absolutely yes!

Please do not be confused between the two aptly: “death” and “die”. There is a very clear distinctive different meaning to these two realities. We as Children of God, not of the will of the flesh, but rather the will of the FATHER, as Christians or “little Anointed ones” will never drink the bitter cup of DEATH…no!

Will we die, most assuredly! but Death has lost its sting, seen at work in these mortal earthen jarred vessels, to attain to a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.

The Hebrew word for “death” is “Muth“, this is very interesting to see that the word: “Likeness” is “Demuth”. I sincerely ask you then, what is the opposite of death?
“Life” one may say, this is true in part, but the Likeness of God according to Genesis 1:26 is the opposite of death.

“God said: “Let us create man in our image and after Our “LIKENESS” = Life or plainly put: “Demuth“.

We can then agree that the opposite of “death” is found in the “Likeness” of God. This nullifies and puts to void all false religions, period. Cause this was penned and marked down in ancient Hebrew script by Moses whom we know wrote the first five books of the Bible, the Torah or Old Testament as we know it to be.

Genesis which speaks of the Beginning of His kind (us) after His Likeness (us), we are eternal creatures with absolutely no end friend. We will live into all eternity because of the God particle or part in us.

We are the crown of God’s Creation, we are the epic tone of His fullness of Love and Grace, outside of which the Lord created not, we are the climax of his Divine expression, a likeness after His kind, with whom He may commune or in Hebrew text: “have Koinonia”.

God desires earnestly to have fellowship with his handiwork, which includes you too!

And God formed man from the dust of the earth and Breathed the Breath of Life into the nostrils of Adam, and He indeed became not just a living being so wrongly translated, but rather a “LIVING SOUL“.

I can’t imagine one single verse in the Word (Bible) where the flesh prospers in any whatsoever means, no, death is at work in these earthen vessels.

You can get yourself bleached, tucked, and lifted or whatever these plastic surgeons do these days, your flesh, your flesh must perish, other than that the Word would lie, and this is simply IMPOSSIBLE!

You know as we grow older beyond our 40’s, we start appreciating every day that we can open our eyes to the daylight with new tender mercies.

We hear of Good guys like a fellow brother, Lourens Venter, truly a beautiful man of God and I am dedicating this article to his memorial, the constituency of his selfless sacrificed life, cheering us along with such a great a cloud of witnesses.

Lourens Passed from his earthly abode, now Glory bound to spend eternity with our Lord.

I will always remember Lourens as one with such sincere childlike Faith, and usually did not take long to get a beautiful beaming smile from him, I Honor him then for his life and work which was for but a little while, his “light affliction” prepared for him a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory

Lourens, Brother, I salute you!

From a loving crowd of earthbound vessels, yet to attain as such as yours

And I am almost sure you are smiling from Heaven right now 🙂

This is then in remembrance of you…
